Blue Hat, Green Hat, Red Hat, OOPS!

blue hat...green hat...red hat... oops! Honestly the best and my most memorable book from childhood. Sandra Boynton is one of the best children's authors and she continues to produce simple, meaningful, and loving books for little ones.  Little did I know that her simple words would still bring joy and laughter to me 20+ years later. It is no secret that I am a children's book lover and collector though I often blame it on the profession there is nothing better than a great children's book! This book just reminds me that even when life is difficult or the OOPS happen to keep trying and you will succeed. Though the characters in the book are an elephant, a moose, a bear and a turkey I think everyone can relate! check it our here:

Jared and I have needed this reminder a few times in our progress towards making our home "baby ready". Who knew there are SO many important things to assemble. The worst part is knowing that if you do it wrong your future child's safety may be in danger...not just that the TV might fall and break :)! Jared has done so much work in preparation for our baby boy to get here and in those moments of "I do NOT have the patience to finish this right now" he has stepped up and offered to complete the task and completed it well. Even going as far as calling a company to send us another bolt because they sent us a bolt with no grooves cut in the top to screw it into anything. Here is a wonderful montage of his hard work in action: minus the bookshelves, changing table, and glider (not sure where those pictures went at the moment :)

opening the box "Carefully"

This was the moment (after 3 attempts at finding the "front") I was done helping :) He was so patient with that crib

Proud Daddy

SO many pieces
He really does read and re-read instructions!

safe and secure! Good JOB daddy!

So this post is in short dedicated to a very hard working guy who couldn't be a better "fit" for me and our family. He is wonderful and I know that he is a wonderful daddy already!!! When my "oops" moments happen I know that I have someone who is there to stand by me and help me through them! Thankful for him each and every day and can't wait for our little man to arrive and be just like his daddy!

With Love & Laughter,
Beka
