15 Weeks

Prayers come in small packages, but when many are praying for the same thing they come in loud and clear. Groups of people brought together for one cause can make a difference. This past weekend gave us many opportunities to see god's love and devotion to each of us as an individual and as a member of a group. We were so lucky to be a part of a benefit dinner for a dear friend and her family. Amazing turn out and amazing support from a large group of people!

I often think about the future with our bundle of joy coming in just 15 short weeks and think about what 15 weeks feels like in other circumstances of life. I know this specific time is full of excitement, joy, and a huge learning curve for both Jared and I. When in other times in our lives 15 weeks felt like long days, even months of praying for strength and time to heal. If you think about it 15 weeks is only a small portion of time, but so many things can change in such a short amount of time. I know my students think of 15 weeks as one more semester completed towards their future careers. When others in our lives pray for the amazing amounts of strength and healing that can happen in 15 long weeks. What is 15 weeks for you?

Praying for those in our lives who are searching for strength, healing, and His love!

25 week update:
Size: He is about 13 1/2 inches long

Jaredism: "you got a human in there"...in reference to my comments about being starving all the time!

Fun fact: we're pretty much set on a name, have been since the day we started "trying"....though I tried to change our minds with a list of 20+ names :)...And no it has nothing to do with the super bowl champs QB!

Elijah Lee Meitler: We'll most likely call him Eli (I just hope he comes out looking like an Eli!). Lee is a tribute to both sides of our family and the daddy to be! We are very fortunate that Lee has been in both of our families through at least 2 generations (Jared, his dad and grandpa, as well as my dad and grandpa too)! Thank you pintrest for the great idea....yarn wrapped letters!! I'll add more nursery pictures in the future as the progress continues!

UHOH: We (the baby and I) were in our first fender bender today and my first "accident" since I was in undergrad in 2007! Everyone is absolutely fine and the damage is just cosmetic (some missing paint). I am so thankful it was just a reversing oops on both my part and the part of the other driver. It was just a reminder to me that often times life throws things at you when you least expect it!

  3. Elijah Lee Meitler...how beautiful. I love the name just as much as I love reading about your pregnancy journey. So much is happening with both the baby-to-be and with mom and dad. :)
