Easter

Just a quick post to express our deepest love to Jared's mom, Sundra. We know she is so proud of us and that baby Elijah is on his way soon and would love to be experiencing the growth right along with us here, but is seeing it from a much better view! I know people say the firsts are often times the hardest and I have to say that this first Easter without her is no different. We struggled through such a quick goodbye last Easter with her, that day will never leave us as a very difficult day in our lives. Knowing she is no longer in pain and is with all of our loved ones who have passed and the risen lord is encouraging and uplifting. Just amazing to know that he needed her on Easter Sunday just a year ago.This song means so much and uses so little words...

We did a few things today in her honor :) Sundra was a baker by nature and always put every ounce of love into her baking that was possible. We didn't actually bake anything but we did make No-Bake cookies together which was fun and brought out some laughter thinking she must be smiling and laughing at us for not really baking! Jared also lit his first fire-pit of the season tonight in her honor and relaxed from a day off of work! Just amazing with an extra day can do for the soul.  Hopefully next year we will add another tradition of dying Easter eggs which was always a favorite of Sundra's...even last year she colored eggs a few days early :)We love you Sundra and so does this grand-baby of yours!
